We Never Sell It
We never sell student data or use it for advertising. Ever.
Here's how we do it, in plain language. EntryPoint is a PowerSchool-approved plug-in vendor.
Student information belongs to your district, not to us. We use it only to provide EntryPoint to your schools, and to improve EntryPoint using anonymized data, as described below.
We never sell student data or use it for advertising. Ever.
We share it only when your district directs us to, or when the law requires it.
We work under your district's direction and follow the student-privacy laws that apply to your schools.
Within 90 days of your contract ending, and we confirm in writing.
EntryPoint uses AI to help counselors and staff spend less time on paperwork and more time with students.
Closed loop
Your data is sent only to the AI provider we use, never shared publicly.
We never use student data to train AI.
Staff feedback on how well it did a task may help improve EntryPoint. Student information is not used for this.
// Security
We protect your data with strong, modern security, built in from day one.
Your data is walled off from every other district's.
Confidential meeting notes are visible only to the person who wrote them.
Whether it's stored or moving across the internet.
And we regularly test our security. Our data platform and storage run on SOC 2 compliant providers.

No. Student data belongs to your district, and we use it only to run EntryPoint for your schools. We never sell it, rent it, or use it for advertising or marketing. We share it only when your district directs us to or when the law requires it, and our Data Processing Agreement puts this in writing. We may also use anonymized data, with all personal details removed and no way to trace it back to a student, to improve EntryPoint and understand trends across schools.
No. We never use student data to train AI models. Staff feedback on how well it did a task may help improve EntryPoint, but student information is not used.
We're built to meet FERPA. Under it, we act as a "school official" working on your district's behalf and under its direct control. That means we use student records only for purposes your district approves, we don't pass them on to anyone else, and we delete them when our contract ends. We also follow other student-privacy laws that apply to your schools.
Your data is stored with Google Cloud and Supabase in secure data centers in the United States. It's encrypted while it's stored and whenever it moves between your browser and our systems. Backups are encrypted too.
Only the staff your district gives access to, and each person's role decides what they see. A counselor sees students at their assigned school, while a district administrator can see across your district's schools. Your data is kept separate from other districts' data, so no one outside your district can see it.
We have a documented plan for responding to security incidents. If an incident ever affected your data, we would notify your district within 72 hours, explain what happened and what we're doing about it, and help you with any notices the law requires.
Yes, through your district. Under FERPA, parents make these requests to their school, and we help your district respond quickly.
You can ask for a full export of your data first. Then we delete your district's data within 90 days of your contract ending, including backups, and confirm in writing once it's done.
We're happy to walk your team through how EntryPoint protects student data.
